I was called to work in the Young Women's Organization for the
first time nineteen years ago. The second time I was called a
few years later in another ward, the president asked if one of
the leaders would write a script for a Young Women in Excellence
night. I was nominated by defalt. I hadn't volunteered for anything
else, so it was the only thing left. I went home and began to
write. When it was done, the others were happy and the task was
done. But, I learned two vital things. Sometimes we are asked
to do something to develope ourselves. Also, that I could write
and I enjoyed it.
Since then I've written a few scripts for ward parties, New Beginings
etc. For those of you who have done similar things. After the
event, it gets filed away, lost, and forgotten. While somewhere
out there another person is wishing they had something just like
it for their Ward Party, New Beginings or Scout Program. So, along
with all the other things that Latter-Day Specialties Online and
Specialties Distribution Center offers, like Young Women theme
and Young Men themed gifts and lesson helps, we would like to
offer free thoughts, scripts, activity ideas for young men and
women and if we can find it, clip art.

We want to have LDS Young Women activity ideas, LDS Young Men
activity ideas, even Youth Conference ideas. We want scripts you
are willing to share. Ward Party ideas, Clip Art, and anything
else you are willing to share freely with the rest of us. And
for those of you looking for somthing already written, we'll try
and have it, but if not don't be afraid to put somthing together
yourself. You might find you're good at it. Then you can share
it with us all.
This years Young Women's and Young Men's theme is "Be Steadfast
and immovable always abounding in good works" Mosiah 5:15.
The Primary theme is "I am a Child of God". If you have
ideas to share on these topics, I'm sure there are many people
who would benefit.
